Hot and cold spots are one of the biggest problems with smokers and converted Cerakote curing ovens. Without forced circulation, temperatures can vary substantially from one location to another—even when the smoker's temperature controller says everything is right on target.

The Resin Oxide High-Velocity Circulation System continuously moves heated air throughout the chamber, helping eliminate stagnant hot and cold zones and creating a much more uniform temperature environment.

And we've tested it.

Tested Temperature Uniformity

In controlled empty-smoker testing, temperature probes were positioned throughout the chamber and measurements were compared with the circulation fan ON and OFF.

In the critical center working area, the results showed:

At 225°F, the circulation system reduced the measured center-area hot-to-cold temperature spread from 9°F to just 0.5°F — a 94% reduction in temperature variation.

That means more uniform temperatures where your food or coated parts actually sit.

Why Air Circulation Matters

A smoker or curing oven without forced circulation relies primarily on natural convection. Hot air rises, cooler air falls, and the location of the heating element can create substantial temperature differences throughout the chamber.

The Resin Oxide system uses a 10-inch tangential circulation fan to continuously move that heated air throughout the oven.

For smoking meats, improved circulation can provide more consistent cooking temperatures, reduce extreme hot spots and help produce more predictable results during long cooks.

For Cerakote curing, temperature uniformity is particularly important. More consistent temperatures throughout the working area help reduce the possibility of localized overheating or under-curing and provide a more controlled, repeatable curing environment.

Dual-Supported 10" Tangential Fan

Unlike designs that support the fan shaft from only one side, the Resin Oxide circulation fan features shaft support at both ends of the fan blade assembly.

This provides greater stability during high-speed operation, helping reduce vibration and noise while improving the expected service life of the system.

At up to 2,900 RPM and 35 CFM, the long 10-inch fan moves air across a substantial portion of the chamber rather than concentrating airflow in one small area.

Simple Installation

The system was designed to add forced-air circulation without requiring extensive modification to your smoker.

The external control box attaches using the included metal threaded mounting/adjustment tube and requires only one 1/4" hole through the smoker wall.

Once installed, the external control box provides convenient access to both the variable fan-speed control and master power switch. The included 62-inch power cord provides additional flexibility when positioning the smoker in your workspace.

Testing was performed in an empty smoker using multiple temperature probes. Results shown represent center-area temperature range from repeated tests. Actual performance will vary depending on smoker construction, heating-element location, fan placement, chamber loading, ambient conditions, operating temperature and measurement method. Always verify food, part and chamber temperatures with appropriate independent temperature-measuring equipment.
